Music in Action is a year long, research-driven, intensive 80+ hour experiential training program of 36 teaching modules, each driven by one or more of the learning standards (academic enrichment) and developmental assets (youth development), delivered to teams of 15 students each, and fundable through a variety of grant sources. Music in Action training is delivered to schools through partnerships with local, grassroots, non-profit (501c3) community-based organizations ("CBOs"). CBO's work directly with us as we help secure grant funding, assure the best match for our program + CBOs, and answer questions.

Teaching staff includes:

LEAD TRAINER ("LT") - responsible for leading many training modules and keeping all the members and pieces connected and focused. LTs can be CBO staff, local independent trainer or interested, motivated and trained school staff.

HOST SITE MANAGER is staff at Host Site CBO serving as liaison to our Music in Action home office.

VISITING ARTISTS are musicians, songwriters, producers, engineers, re-mixers, designers, and others.

MUSIC INDUSTRY MENTORS ("MIM") are regional or national special guests - live or via videoconference.

FIVE TRAINING ADVISORS <to be named soon> - available on-line, 24.7.365 to support and guide students with between sessions MIA homework help and personal development.

All staff, trainers and mentors receive training, ongoing support and have simple agreements that assure quality and consistency of program delivery.

Interested CBOs and schools receive support from our home office grant experts and evaluation associates. Part of our vision is to help CBOs get stronger and help their communities.
